Erica Irwin from Paul G. Blazer High School and Seth Harper from Raceland-Worthington High School represented the 16th Region for the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Sportsmanship Award sponsored by the Forcht Group of Kentucky.
Irwin and Harper were selected from about 5,000 student athletes from across the state.
Anna Roarx from Louisville Holy Cross High School and Evan Bennett of George Rogers Clark High School were named statewide winners, both receiving a one-time $3,000 scholarship.
Each of 32 regional winners received a plaque, a mantle clock from the KHSAA Officials Division and a chair and $200 book scholarship from the Forcht Group.
This is the 12th year of the program recognizing outstanding sportsmanship. KHSAA member schools each selected one boy and one girl as the local school sportsmanship winner.
From the 32 regional winners, the statewide winners — one boy and one girl — were selected.
