2 arrested on drug charges

The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Drug arrests
‰Derron B. Gentry, of the 4800 block of Boyd Street, was arrested on Sunday at his home on drug charges.
Police charged Gentry with first- and third-degree possession of controlled substances and possession of marijuana. Officers seized oxycodone and Xanax.
‰Kristin A. Thacker of South Point was arrested on Saturday at Ashland Town Center on a charge of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, OxyContin.
Theft
‰A Florida woman on Monday reported the theft of household goods and other items, all valued at $900, from the 3900 block of Avery Street.
‰An Ashland woman reported on Monday an electronic item valued at $200 was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the 2700 block of James Court.
‰An Ashland woman reported on Monday her purse was stolen from her car while it was parked on Evans Street.
‰An Ashland man reported on Sunday his mountain bike, valued at $200, was stolen from the 2700 block of Herman Avenue.
‰A Raceland woman reported Saturday items valued at $509 were stolen from her car while it was parked in the 500 block of Armco Road.
‰A Flatwoods woman reported on Saturday her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the 1100 block of Winchester Avenue.
‰A resident of the 3200 block of Condit Street on Saturday reported the theft of jewelry valued at $1,050.
‰A man living in the 2200 block of Crest Street on Friday reported the theft of jewelry, cash and tools valued at $600.
Shoplifting
‰An Argillite man was arrested on Monday at Wal-Mart for allegedly trying to steal items valued at $90.30.
‰FYE in the Ashland Town Center reported on Sunday someone had stolen merchandise valued at $125.98 from the store.
‰An Ashland man was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly tried to take items valued at $29.99 from Belk in the Ashland Town Center.
‰An Ashland man was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly stole “consumable goods” valued at $3.29 from Kroger.
‰An Ironton woman was arrested on Saturday after she allegedly tried to steal items valued at $57.54 from Wal-Mart. The woman also was charged with misdemeanor drug possession.
‰An Ashland woman was arrested on Friday for allegedly shoplifting items from Wal-Mart. However, her alleged accomplice apparently got away with the bulk of the $283.78 in merchandise that was taken.
