Commissioners OK appointments

Ashland — The Ashland Board of City Commissioners approved the following appointments at a meeting on Thursday:

‰Reappointed Kevin Gunderson, Tri-State Airport Authority, three-year term that began Feb. 11, 2007, and will expire Feb. 11, 2010.

‰Appointed W. Richard Martin Jr., Boyd County Emergency Ambulance Service, two-year term that began Jan. 3 and will expire Jan. 3, 2010.

‰Reappointed Joyce Welch, Ashland Tree Board, three-year term that began March 1 and will expire March 1, 2011.

‰Reappointed Charles Howes, Ashland Tree Board, three-year term that began March 1 and will expire March 1, 2011.

‰Reappointed Ramona Callihan, Ashland Tree Board, three-year term that began Feb. 28 and will expire Feb. 28, 2011.

‰Reappointed Alice Bourne, Ashland Tree Board, three-year term that began Feb. 28 and will expire Feb. 28, 2011.

‰Reappointed Bennie Shields, Ashland Tennis Commission, three-year term that began Oct. 10 and will expire Oct. 10, 2010.

‰Reappointed Gene Lebrun, Ashland Tennis Commission, three-year term that began Oct. 10 and will expire Oct. 10, 2010.

‰Reappointed Robert Griffith, Ashland Tennis Commission, three-year term that began Oct. 2 and will expire Oct. 2, 2010.

‰Appointed Debbie Frazier, Ashland Planning Commission, four-year term that began Jan. 1, 2005, and will expire Jan. 1, 2009. The appointment will fill the unexpired term of Ann Newman, who resigned Jan. 23.

‰Reappointed Diana Dill, Ashland Planning Commission, four-year term that began Jan. 1 and will expire on Jan. 1, 2012.

‰Reappointed Tom Cantrell, Ashland Planning Commission, four-year term that began Jan. 1 and will expire Jan. 1, 2012.

‰Appointed Kelva Nelson, Commission on Human Rights, three-year term that began Jan. 1, 2007, and will expire Dec. 31, 2009. This appointment will fill the position held by Moya Brooks, who recently moved from Ashland.

‰Reappointed Teddy Conley, Code Enforcement Board as an alternate member to a four-year term that began Oct. 11 and will expires Oct. 11, 2011.

‰Reappointed Pat Mahlmeister, Code Enforcement Board, three-year term that began March 1 and will expire March 1, 2011.

‰Reappointed Jerry Bently, Code Enforcement Board, three-year term that began March 1 and will expire March 1, 2011.

‰Reappointed Larry Bailey, Ashland Board of Zoning Adjustment, four-year term that began Feb. 28 and will expire Feb. 28, 2012.

‰Reappointed Jack Vanhoose, Ashland Board of Zoning Adjustment, four-year term that began Feb. 28 and will expire Feb. 28, 2012.
