Several thefts from vehicles reported

The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Theft
‰A man living in the 1700 block of Winchester Avenue reported Thursday an electronic item valued at $325 had been stolen from his vehicle.
‰A woman living in the 1100 block of Belmont Street reported Wednesday five CDs, valued at $50, had been stolen from her car.
‰A resident of the 3000 block of Simpson Road on Wednesday reported the theft of an item valued at $30 from his vehicle.
‰A man living in the 3000 block of Bath Avenue on Wednesday reported the theft of an item valued at $100 from his vehicle.
‰A resident of the 3100 block of Winchester Avenue reported Wednesday an item valued at $10 had been stolen from his car.
‰A woman living in the 3100 block of Bath Avenue reported Tuesday her car, valued at $1,000, had been stolen. The vehicle was later recovered.
Shoplifting
‰An Ironton woman was arrested Thursday for allegedly trying to shoplift merchandise valued at $147.02 from Wal-Mart.
Prescription fraud
‰A doctor’s office in the 1200 block of Bath Avenue reported Wednesday a woman had tried to obtain drugs there using a bogus prescription.
Domestic violence
‰Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance early Tuesday morning at Vincent Apartments and arrested a Ft. Gay, W.Va., man for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
