HUNTINGTON — Greenbrier trip to be offered

HUNTINGTON - The Collis P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society will offer a day trip to The Greenbrier Resort on Dec. 15.

The cost is $229 per person and includes a buffet lunch at the resort, a tour of the bunker, afternoon tea, a concert, motorcoach return and a stop at Tamarack on the return trip.

Peanut butter donations taken

ASHLAND - Local Girl Scouts will collect jars of peanut butter at Boyd County schools until Thanksgiving break and at the Ashland Christmas parade on Nov. 26 to donate to River Cities Harvest.

Fruit cakes for sale in Carter

GRAYSON - Two-pound Benson fruit cakes will be for sale in Carter County to benefit Project Merry Christmas.

The cost is $12.50. Cakes are available at all branches of Commercial Bank of Grayson, James Family Outfitters and the Robert Caummisar Law Office.
