Church bazaar is upcoming
CATLETTSBURG - The Twin Fork Church of the Nazarene Women’s Ministry will have its third annual bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Vendors, crafters, inflatables and hayrides will be offered, with proceeds to fund a fresh-water well in Haiti.

Patriotic concert set in Maysville
MAYSVILLE - “We Remember,” a two-hour musical patriotic salute to veterans, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Maysville Church of the Nazarene.
Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. The first 100 to arrive will receive free flags.

AARF event upcoming
ASHLAND - The Ashland Animal Rescue Fund will have its annual Howliday Auction/Chili Dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Ashland Transportation Building at 99 15th St.
The live auction will include UK tickets, spa packages, gift baskets and concert tickets. J.B. Miller will be emcee and auctioneer.
Admission is $10; AARF items will be for sale.
Christmas bazaar will be Saturday
RUSH - Kilgore United Methodist Church will have its annual Christmas Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall.
Homemade crafts, tree ornaments, hot dogs, baked goods, apple butter, jellies and other foods will be for sale.
The church is a quarter mile off U.S. 60 on Ky. 854.
RCH fundraiser will be Saturday
ASHLAND - The 14th annual River Cities Harvest Canned Food drive concert will be Saturday at the Kyova Mall.
A pancake breakfast will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Callihan’s American Pub and Grill. Tickets, which are $5, includes a short stack, sausage and beverage. Proceeds will go to RCH. Music and collection of canned goods will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Pro wrestler Bobby Blaze will make an appearance; his DVD will be for sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to RCH. He will be available for photos and signings until 2 p.m.
The musical lineup is:
11:30 a.m. — Eddie and The Cougars.
12:15 p.m. — Roger Smith.
1 p.m. — Katie Owens.
2 p.m. — ER (Eric Daniels and Ron Hurn).
2:45 p.m. — Rob McNurlin.
3:30 p.m. — Tracey Ann Stanley.
4:15 p.m. — Tom and Brenden Wintz.
Door prizes will be awarded, including dinner for two at Callihan’s, movie passes, concert tickets and a pink electric guitar.
RCH serves food kitchens in 14 counties in the Tri-State.

Turkey dinner set at fire station
OLDTOWN - A turkey dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Oldtown Volunteer Fire Department.
The meal will include turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, homemade cranberry relish, dessert and drink for $7.

CATLETTSBURG - Twin Fork Church of the Nazarene will have a fall bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Vendors will include Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, Longaberger, Ella Collection, Fluff and Priss Boutique, Scentsy, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Premier Jewelry, Thirty-One, Origami Owl and Lil’ Things Whimsical Designs. King’s Daughters Medical Center will have a health fair and there will be outdoor activities for children and a general store. Women at Risk International will have a display.
Proceeds will fund a fresh-water well in Haiti.
The church is on Ky. 168.
Lunch, bazaar planned Saturday
SOUTH SHORE - The United Methodist Women at Sunshine United Methodist Church will have a fall bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall at Ky. 7 and Tygart Bend Road.
A soup/chili lunch will be served; baked goods, fresh pecans, attic treasures and local arts and crafts, including Christmas items, will be for sale.
