HUNTINGTON — Museum’s open house Sunday

HUNTINGTON

 The Huntington Museum of Art’s Holiday Open House will be from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is free, but visitors are encouraged to bring cans of food to benefit the Huntington Area Food Bank and warm clothes for the Cridlin Food and Clothing Pantry.

Holiday Open House features the Art on a Limb exhibit of trees with hand-painted palettes and ornaments designed by local artists; a visit from Santa; children’s art activities; entertainment; and refreshments.

Entertainment will be provided by Huntington Dance Theater, Cabell Midland Collegium Musicum and Wayne Elementary Honor Choir.

Grayson Mayor George Steele has declared Dec. 6 through 8 the first Grayson Hometown Holidays.

Friday

11 a.m. to 8 p.m. — Christmas Market, Park Street.

11 a.m. to 8 p.m. — Art show and Festival of Trees, Grayson Gallery and Art Center.

11 a.m. to 8 p.m. — Merchant Holiday Festivities.

11 a.m. to 8 p.m. — 2013 Hometown Holidays Teacher of the Year; Winner to be drawn at 6 p.m., Dec. 7.

11 a.m. to 8 p.m.. — Middle and High School Student entries for free food and discounts; drawing at 6 p.m. Dec. 7.

noon to 5 p.m. — Fresh Wreath Contest, Grayson Gallery and Art Center.

5 to 8 p.m. — Live Nativity Scene.

5 to 8 p.m. — Caroling, Park and Main Street.

6 p.m. — Community Caroling, Pomeroy and Main.

5 to 8 p.m. — Horse-drawn wagon rides.

5 to 8 p.m. — Santa Sightings.

6 p.m. — Sanders Family Christmas; KCU dinner theater; $30 per person.

6 to 8 p.m. — Live music by Steve Free, Grayson Gallery and Art Center.
