AARF fundraisers upcoming
ASHLAND - Tim Hortons Restaurant on Winchester Avenue will help the Ashland Animal Rescue Foundation by giving a portion of its proceeds to the organization from 2 to 6 p.m. today.
AARF will have a supply drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Riverhill Road Walmart.
Items needed include Purina dog, cat, puppy and kitten chow, Pedigree dog food, leashes, treats and cleaning items such as paper towels, Dawn dishwashing liquid, bleach, detergent and garbage bags.
AARF items will be for sale at the time.
The next fundraiser for AARF will be Westminster on Winchester on May 3 during First Friday events.
Walk, auction will be today in Louisa
LOUISA - Walk for the Animals 2013, sponsored by the Lawrence County Humane Society, will be today.
Bidding on auction items will start at 11 a.m. Bids may be placed in person at Main Street Park or by calling (606) 571-6224. Bidding stops at 2:15 p.m. Winners will be notified immediately.
Chorale group will perform May 6
ASHLAND - The Bowling Green State University Collegiate Chorale will present a free concert of sacred and secular music at 7:30 p.m. May 6 at First Presbyterian Church.
The 30-voice touring mixed choir is conducted by Timothy Cloeter.
