Even as Summer Motion activities are under way, an exhibit documenting the history of the event is on display at the Highlands Museum and Discovery Center.
“Celebrating 25 Years of Summer Motion” will run through Friday.
Curator Heather Akers said all of the items in the exhibit are on loan from various community members.
Included in the exhibit are posters from every year as well as snapshots of celebrities who have appeared and performed at the event.
Many of the shirts worn by Summer Motion staffs are included and some of the T-shirts available to the public are in the exhibit.
Several guitars are in the show, too, bearing the autographs of all the performers from that year.
Summer Motion is known for showcasing bands before they were big, including SheDaisy and Lady Antebellum. In an effort to draw a variety, bands like The Guess Who and Styx, which will perform this year, have been on the schedule of entertainment, too.
Finally, the exhibit offers the chance to look back at previous Summer Motions with a television showing DVDs of past Summer Motion performances.
