Hospice to be part of national event
Community Hospice will participate in a nationwide initiative to promote living wills and advanced directives — National Healthcare Decisions Day on April 16.
As part of National Healthcare Decisions Day, Community Hospice will host events throughout April to educate the public about living wills. Community Hospice representatives are available to speak to any club, group, church, organization or business with details about living wills. Representatives also will have forms available for individuals to complete after their presentations.

Talent contest set for April 5
River Cities Got Talent will be from 4 to 8 p.m. April 5 at the Catlettsburg Little League Complex during Catlettsburg’s Trading Days.
Registration starts at 3 p.m. Cost is $10. The winner will be featured on the courthouse stage during the Labor Day concert. Winner also will receive a cash prize.
A knitting workshop will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursdays at the Fuzzy Duck on Main Street.
Instructor will be Jennifer Reis. The workshop is open to beginners as well as advanced knitters.
Cost is $10 per class period. Materials can be purchased onsite.

Crafters sought for festival
The Dogwood Festival continues to seek crafters — glass blowers, blacksmiths, soap makers, silversmiths, leather workers, wood carvers and others — to demonstrate during the festival, set for April 24 through 27 in Piketon.

All films will be shown at 7 p.m. in room 112 of Rader Hall.
Prom-N-Aide will be Saturday
The Dressing Room, 2516 Carter Ave., will have its third annual Prom-N-AIde from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The event is open to high school girls wishing to attend their prom. Recipients must attend to try on dresses, which are limited to one per student.
