The recently acquired Ballantyine Collection is on display at the Highlands Museum and Discovery center.
Curator Heather Akers said an area resident who wishes to remain anonymous donated the 130-piece collection to pursue other collecting interests.
The figurines representing various soldiers in history are handmade and hand painted by Ballantyne of Walkerburn, a Scottish company founded in 1989 by a retired captain in the British army, is known for making a wide variety of military figurines.
