ASHLAND — Ham radio testing Saturday

ASHLAND - The River Cities Amateur Radio Association will have an American Radio Relay League-sponsored testing session at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Salvation Army, 2212 Carter Ave., for new or upgrade of radio amateur licenses.

Two forms of identification, including a photo ID such as driver’s license, amateur radio license or current Certificate of Successful Completion of Examination, are required.

IRONTON - Ohio University Southern, a regional campus of Ohio University, is enrolling for spring semester classes beginning Monday.

ACTC auditions continue today

ASHLAND - Auditions for the ACTC Children’s Theatre production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will continue at 4 p.m. today at the J.B. Sowards Theatre at the College Drive Campus.

The Andrew Lloyd Weber musical is based on the Bible story of Joseph and his coat of many colors.

Theme sought for Carter event

GRAYSON - Grayson Memory‚ÄąDays 2013 is seeking a six-word or fewer theme for its May events. The deadline is noon Feb. 4. The winner will receive $25, a T-shirt with the theme and recognition at opening ceremonies on May 23.

No more than five entries per person are allowed.
