Chocolate Extravaganza in Ashland this weekend

ASHLAND — Hope’s Place will have its 16th annual Chocolate Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ashland Town Center.

Vendors will be on hand with a variety of chocolate treats to sample. There also will be Easter and specialty baskets available for purchase.

Vendors include Great American Cookie, Tim Horton’s/Cold Stone Creamery, M and M Cake and Candy Supplies, NECCO, KDMC Social Work Department, Fiesta Bravo, Ramey-Estep Homes and Boyd County High School FCCLA.

Executive Director Brandi Bayes said last year, the event had 200 baskets and she said she hopes they’ll have that many for sale this year, too. She said they will continue taking donations today.

“I’m really hoping for pretty weather and that people will get out and get some chocolate, purchase some baskets and support Hope’s Place,” she said.

Proceeds will benefit Hope’s Place Children’s Advocacy Center.

The center is at 1100 Greenup Ave.
