CATLETTSBURG — Fruit workshop to be offered

CATLETTSBURG - A small-fruit production and IPM short course will be offered April 24 at the Franks Extension Community Building at 1758 Addington Road.

The course will provide basic production and marketing information and bring growers and extension agents up to date on the latest pests and pest control strategies.

The course begins with a pretest at 9 a.m. and adjourns at 4:15 p.m. To register, call Lori Bowling, Boyd County extension agent for horticulture, at (606) 739-5184.

Women’s expo will be April 23

HUNTINGTON - The 23rd annual KEE 100 Women’s Expo will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 23 at Big Sandy Superstore Arena.

Admission is $5.

Giveaways are planned, as well as food and music.

Grayson parade taking entries

GRAYSON - The annual Grayson Memory Days parade will be at 1 p.m. May 25, running east to west on U.S. 60. Floats will be accepted and first- and second-place trophies will be awarded.

Entries will be accepted until 4 p.m. May 23. To enter, call (606) 474-9522.

Spaghetti dinner will be Saturday

ARGILLITE - Cane Creek Freewill Baptist Church will host a spaghetti dinner at 4 p.m. Saturday at the church at 16628 Ky. 207, off the Industrial Parkway.

There will be special music by Yesterday’s Gospel and Crimson River.

Proceeds will go toward construction of a new fellowship hall.
