Story Hour to get under way
SOUTH SHORE - Story Hour will be at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at the McKell branch of the Greenup County Public Library.
Boys and girls 3 through school age are invited. The event offers crafts, singing, dancing, stories and other activities.
If there is no school, there will be no story time.

Church to host spaghetti dinner
WURTLAND - Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church will host a spaghetti dinner from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall of the church on the corner of Oak Street and Old U.S. 23.
The meal will consist of spaghetti, salad and dessert. Patrons may dine in, carry out or request delivery. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children.
Proceeds will go into the church’s building fund.

Sustainability luncheon Feb. 25
HUNTINGTON - The next Sustainability Lunch and Learn will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at BE5 Memorial Student Center on the campus of Marshall University.
Jill Watkins of Watkins Design Works LLC will speak about resilient building design, which, according to the Resilient Design Institute, is “the intentional design of buildings, landscapes, communities and regions in response to vulnerabilities to disaster and disruption of normal life.”
Parking is available at the new parking garage, 1650 Sixth Ave., beside the Fine Arts Building, across the street from the Memorial Student Center; cost is 50 cents an hour. Lunch buffet will open at 11:45 a.m., with the speaker starting at noon.
‘Percy Jackson’ to be shown
ASHLAND - The Boyd County Public Library will show the movie “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the main branch at 1740 Central Ave. Free refreshments will be provided.
