ASHLAND — Fundraiser to aid

Berea arts council

RICHMOND

Berea Arts Council’s annual fundraiser, “Stepping Out for Art” will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, 233 Battlefield Memorial Highway.

The dinner and auction will feature local cuisine; the auction will be both silent and live and will include paintings, pottery, textiles, mixed media, art quilts, woodworking, basketry and jewelry.

All the artwork will be on display at the Arts Council gallery at 116 Main St. in Berea beginning today and continuing through Feb. 13. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Photographs of the exhibit will be featured on the Arts Council web site, BereaArtsCouncil.org. The opening reception will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today.

New this year to the event is a trolley service that will transport guests between Berea and the Reserve Center.

Cost for the fundraiser is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. New members who join by Feb. 1 may purchase up to two tickets for $25 each.

Annual concert set Jan. 28

NASHVILLE

CMA’s fifth annual Keep the Music Playing All Stars Concert, set for 6 p.m. Jan. 28 at the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, will be hosted by EMI Nashville recording artist and CMA Awards nominee Eric Paslay.

CMA’s Keep the Music Playing All Stars Concert honors several of the brightest music groups from Metro Nashville Public Schools that have benefited from CMA’s Keep the Music Playing music education initiative.
