SOUTH SHORE — Story Hour to resume at McKell

SOUTH SHORE - The McKell branch of the Greenup County Public Library will begin its fall Story Hour at 10 a.m. Sept. 24, with the program continuing Tuesdays.

The library also will offer Fine Free Days in October. Late fees may be paid with nonperishable food items and canned goods to be donated to the Helping Hands food pantry in South Shore.

Donations of food items will be accepted even if no fines are owed.

Vendors, crafters sought for fest

ASHLAND - The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2329 Ladies Auxiliary is seeking crafters and vendors for its fall craft festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5 at 701 Carter Ave. Booths may be rented. Event proceeds will aid local children.

Pumpkin craft class offered

CATLETTSBURG - Staff at the Catlettsburg branch of the Boyd County Public Library will give instruction about how to make a pumpkin decoration.

The free craft session will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 24 at the branch at 2704 Louisa St., and will be for adults only. The library will supply materials to decorate a pumpkin with leaves, pearls and other notions.

No registration is required, but seating is limited to 10. For more information, call Barb at (606) 739-8332.
