Carol Pennington to headline 1st Comedy Night at Callihan’s, set for Jan. 16

CANNONSBURG — A new act is set to open this month at Callihan’s American Bar and Grill.

The first Comedy Night will be at 7 p.m.  Jan. 16 at the restaurant in the Kyova Mall on U.S. 60. Owner Tal Callihan said he hopes to make it a monthly event.

The first show will be hosted by Vic Clevenger with Marcus Ogleby and headliner Carol Pennington.

Pennington of Cleveland has performed in numerous comedy clubs, from Leopards in Windsor, Ontario, and Ardy’s Place in Soldotna, Alaska, to Cozzy’s in Newport News, Va. She also has taken the stage at a variety of college campuses, including Bowling Green University, Penn State and the University of Dayton, and she has participated in tours by Hysterical Management Tours as well as performed at INCON-NACS Convention Entertainment in Las Vegas.

Following the comedy, Downtown Kings will perform a live music show.
