Christian rock festival slated
Crucifest set for Sept. 6

COAL GROVE —
The Christian rock band Bellor will headline an upcoming festival in Coal Grove.
Bellor is the main act of Crucifest, slated for Sept. 6 at 834 County Road 24, also known as the Rance on Bob Joseph Way.
In addition, the bands Children of God, The Contingency Plan, REV2TEN and 20 Ton Angel are part of the lineup.
Lee Mays, who founded Crucifest this year, said the event is meant to be a Christian alternative to X-Fest.
“Some people may think Christian music is all about the Gaithers, The Crabb Family, or Michael W. Smith,” Mays said. “While there is certainly nothing wrong with that type of Christian music, my goal is to show people Christians can rock just as hard as anyone.”
Tickets are $5. Mays added, “There will be refreshments sold that won’t bankrupt a person.”
