— Michael A. and Susan M. Brown of Flatwoods announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mari Elizabeth “Beth” Brown, to Jeffrey David Spencer, son of Anne Biggs Harrison of Charlotte, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip “Skip” Spencer of Greenup.
The wedding will be July 11, 2009, at McConnell House in Wurtland. Music will begin at 7 p.m.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Lincoln County High School in Stanford. She obtained her bachelor’s in communication disorders from Eastern Kentucky University and her master’s in communication disorders from Western Kentucky University. She is employed as a speech-language pathologist for Greenup County schools.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Greenup County High School and an Ashland Technical A.P.T. graduate. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and is employed as a general manager of Tim Horton’s in Portsmouth.
