The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Cost for adults: $6.50; seniors and children: $5; Members and children 2 and younger admitted free. Rentals of Main Hall for wedding receptions or private parties are available. Call the museum for details.

‰Sept. 26, 7 p.m. — Buzz Spector as a Walter Gropius Master Artist. He will speak about his work. Reception follows. Addmission is free.

‰Sept. 27 through 29, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — An installation of work by Spector will be on view. A three day workshop titled “The Book under (De-)construction. For more information, fees, or to register call (304) 529-2701.

PAINTED COW GALLERY

Gallery hours are 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Gallery features a series of paintings called “Memories of Old Lawrence County” and works by artists who live in Lawrence County.

Studio home for the Lawrence County Arts Council, 103 S. Main Cross St., Louisa (across the street from the Lawrence County Courthouse).
