THE CLAY CENTER for the ARTS and SCIENCES

‰Through Jan. 5 — “Positions of Power, Land View,” a solo exhibition by Boston area artist Ethan Murrow.

‰Sept. 12, 6 p.m. — Free lecture by art historian Ruth Erickson and Clay Center curator of art Arif Khan as they discuss the ideas and processes presented in the exhibit of Ethan Murrow.

GRAYSON GALLERY

AND ART CENTER

Friday, 6 to 9 p.m. — Final Friday Art Walk with “Metal and Wood” art show. Live music with Eddie and the Cougars with Tim Preston. Refreshments include a meal from Grayson Meals on Wheels.

Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Doors are open.

Artists may submit up to three works that are ready to display or hang (no "sawtooth" hangers; must have "wire" and not just metal loops), any size, any subject.

There is no entry fee; the gallery will take a 15 percent commission on sold works. A People’s Choice will win $100 in cash.

New pieces are encouraged. Artists who currently have work on display in the gallery may also pick up their art during the above dates and times.

Friday 6 to 9 p.m. — F!nal Fr!day Art Walk with music by Eddie and the Cougars and refreshments by Grayson Meals on Wheels (weather permitting) along with the Cruisin' Grayson Car Show. The gallery will host an opening reception for artists and the public for this month's show from
