THE CLAY CENTER for the ARTS and SCIENCES

‰Through Jan. 5 — “Positions of Power, Land View,” a solo exhibition by Boston area artist Ethan Murrow.

The Clay Center is at One Clay Square in Charleston, W.Va.

FRENCH ART COLONY

Monday — Fall classes start. Maggie Roach will offer a 13-week session of a variety of dance classes including pre-ballet, Ballet I and II, Jazz I and II, Adult Ballet and Toning and Mini-Musical. Classes are Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Oct. 2 — Nancy Tawney N.D. offering a five-class series on using essential oils at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesdays.

ARTS COUNCIL

Sept. 28, 7:30 p.m. — Story for Appalachian folk of all ages, “Old Ben” at the John P. Stephens Cultural Arts Center in Raceland, with old time music by, Kentucky Memories.
