Events

Free classes, a collaboration between the gallery and the Carter County Public Library as part of the Heart of the Park project, are under way, including:

‰Creative Writing — 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays, Grayson branch, Carter County Public Library; instructor James Shope.

‰Book Illustrating — 1 to 3 p.m. Saturdays, Grayson Gallery and Art Center, 301 E. Third St., Grayson.

‰Learning to Play Guitar — Noon to 1 p.m. Saturdays, Grayson branch, Carter County Public Library; Randy Satterfield, instructor. Free.

‰Mural painting — informational meeting and class registration, noon to 1 p.m. April 28, Gryason Gallery and Art Center.

Exhibits

‰Final Friday Art and Antiques Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. on the last Friday of the month. Free opening reception for another new exhibit of original art by Christine Kuhn of Lexington in various media on April 27; music by Ashland native Leslie Brooks; refreshments.

The gallery is available for special showings by appointment.
