ARTISAN CENTER

Through September — Blenko Festival of Glass. More than  60 arts and craft booths, super car show, beauty pageant, carnival, live entertainment and the largest parade in Barboursville. (304) 736-8994.

September — Chili Fest. West Virginia State Chili Championship at Pullman Square in Huntington. Chili cooking live music, contests, food and entertainment throughout the day. THE UPSTAIRS GALLERY

Fridays, 5:30 to 8 p.m. — First Friday art walk.

Gallery and framing hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and by appointment. The Upstairs Gallery has new art and gifts available from its 25 area artists.
