The 13th annual National Miniature Exhibition’s People’s Choice Award went to Elaine Hahn’s of Holiday, Fla., with her oil painting “Sunset Glow” done on copper.

The foundation will be closed Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.

‰The Regional Readers book discussion group meets last Tuesday of the month at 5:45 p.m. The January selection is “Boone: A Biography” by Robert Morgan.

‰The Jesse Stuart Room features Stuart memorabilia, rare books and collectible items.

‰The Leming Art Gallery features works by area artists and photographs by William “Pictureman” Mullins.

‰The JSF Book Store offers a wide variety of new, used and collectible books; fine art prints; vintage linens; JSF T-shirts; Granville Pottery; jewelry from the Gastineau Studio in Berea; The Kentucky Explorer magazine; Ruth Hunt’s “Blue Monday” candy bars, and Mom Blakeman’s Cream Pulled Candy, assorted and sugar-free chocolates and bourbon balls. Also featured are books in the “Images of America” series of local pictorial histories.

‰The Young Readers’ Corner features Jesse Stuart’s junior books as well as books for children by Billy C. Clark and other regional authors; books in the “Childhood of Famous Americans” series; and resources for teachers of reading.

‰June 15 and 16 — The JSF will have a sales table at Word & Song Café during Old Central City Days on 14th Street in Huntington.
