I dropped the ball in a recent article about country music legend Tom T. Hall’s upcoming homecoming show in Olive Hill, at least on the part where you can buy tickets. I apparently skipped a sentence or something and accidentally relocated a business.

Tickets for the show may be purchased in Ashland at “Something Sassy,” which is along U.S. 60 near the Kentucky State Police Post and McDonald’s, in addition to Commercial bank locations in Olive Hill and Grayson, and Chris’s Guitar Shop in Morehead.

While Mr. Hall’s performance alone is worth the price of admission. Olive Hill Historical Society members have put together an outstanding program for the evening’s entertainment. Tickets are $20 and $30 for the concert, and $5 for the all-day fair.

Jazzercise open house

Certified Jazzercise Instructor Mary Williams is welcoming people to her new studio at 2108B Argilite Road (in the old Stultz Pharmacy Building, next to Movie Mania and across from Chevron and McDonald’s) in Flatwoods for an open house week with free classes starting April 7. The Jazzercise studio will offer babysitting for $1 per child.

Mystery business

I may have to repeat another version of last Sunday’s “treasure hunt” segment. I’m still getting responses to a question about the name of a garage that was extra helpful to a reader who was recently in need of a couple of used tires.

In this case, the shop was ATAC Car Wash & Detail (also known as 32nd Street Used Tires & Custom Detail), at 111 32nd St., owned by Matt Dalton.

The shop has been in business for nearly five years, with used tires as part of their operations, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Another reader pointed out the shop is near Dalton Tire recycling, J&M Laboratories, and Ashland Tire & Auto Center.

A spokesman for the business said they do a little bit of everything, but they don’t sell new tires and they don’t have a tow truck. For more information, call (606) 325-8745.

Legends at PAC

I know this information will show up in various entertainment calendars, although it seemed worth passing along to anyone who may be looking for an excuse, or four good excuses, to visit the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland.

Ricky Skaggs will be playing here in June. The Oakridge Boys will perform in July. Vince Gill will take the stage in September and the “Van Lear Rose” herself, Loretta Lynn, will be in concert mid-November as part of the Kentucky Music Trail 2008.

There will be $10 tickets for each of the shows, although seats closer to the stage will cost a bit more. The most expensive tickets ($65, $60 and $55) are for Vince Gill’s show, which is a couple of bucks more than the $50 price tag for the best seats available for Loretta Lynn.
