New preschool opens in Flatwoods

State Farm Insurance has lowered its overall rate level in Kentucky by an average of 1.3 percent effective May 7, the company announced recently. This represents an annual savings of $4.7 million to the company’s Kentucky customers.
Premiums for liability, personal injury protection, collision and comprehensive coverage will go down for most customers, the company said.
Changes will vary depending on factors such as the coverage individuals carry, where they live, the kind of car insured, who drives it and how much it is driven.
In addition, State Farm has announced a $19.6 million dividend in Kentucky in which policy holders will receive 10.4 percent of their annual premium. Dividend payments began earlier this month and will continue through the year.
