Darren and Valerie Carr Plants of Point Pleasant announce the birth of a daughter, Shelby Nicole Plants.
She was born Feb. 24, 2008, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington. She weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces and was 22 inches long.
She was welcomed home by her 2-year-old brother, Heath.
Maternal grandparents are Jon and Syliva Carr of Holly Springs, N.C., and Jan and Harold Walls of South Point. Maternal great-grandparents are Clyde and Betty Carr of Hastings, Mich., and Robert and Carolyn Allen of Huntington, Ind.
Paternal grandparents are Noah Plants of Apple Grove, W.Va., and Bev and Larry Wilson of Washington, W.Va.
