CATLETTSBURG — Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ed and Kathy McGuire Nunley of Catlettsburg will celebrate their 50th anniversary Nov. 1 with their children.

They were married Nov. 1, 1963, in Virginia, by Lee Stanley.

Mr. Nunley is the son of the late Willard and Betty Nunley. He retired from Ashland Petroleum, Catlettsburg Refinery as an electrician with 27 years of service. He also is a member of Faith Independent Baptist Church in Ashland.

Mrs. Nunley is the daughter of Dixie McGuire of Catlettsburg and the late Milton McGuire. She retired from T. McGinnis Trucking Co. Inc. as an assistant office manager with 34 years of service. She is also a member, choir director and Sunday school secretary of Faith Independent Baptist Church.

They are the proud parents of two sons, Brett (Rhonda) Nunley of Flatwoods and B.J. Nunley of Ashland; one grandson, Colton Nunley, who is stationed aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS John C. Stennis.
