ASHLAND — Mr. and Mrs. Mick and Linda Fosson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the Mead Memorial Methodist Church in Russell, where they were married. Family and friends are invited to the open church event.

Mr. Fosson is the son of the late Elmer and Wanda Fosson.

Mrs. Fosson is the daughter of Ginny and the late Clyde Meadows.

They are the proud parents of Michelle Fosson and Jenny Bates, and grandparents to Grant and Gracie Bates.

Mr. Fosson was a graduate of UK with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and Marshall University with a master’s of business administration. He was employed at Armco Steel Corp., Ashland Petroleum Co., King’s Daughters Medical Center, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and was a founding partner in River Cities Technologies and JIT Supply. He now is employed by Ashland Community and Technical College and is active on the board of directors of the Ashland Area YMCA and the Bellefonte Country Club.

Mrs. Fosson graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in education and taught in the Russell school system for 36 years.

The couple still describe themselves as best friends and enjoy spending time together in their Bellefonte home.
