— Paul D. and Dorothy L. Lyons of Flatwoods will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 1.
The couple were married in Paintsville by the Rev. Scott Castle.
He is retired from Cummins Engine Co. in Columbus, Ind. He served in the Marine Corps, was a member of the Masons and is an ordained minister.
She owned and operated Central Bookkeeping and Tax Service in Columbus.
They are both members of Ironville Enterprise Baptist Church in Ashland.
The couple have six children, Rodney D. Lyons of Flatwoods, Teresa Y. Cox of Columbus, Christopher A. Lyons of Columbus, Linda C. Clark of North Vernon, Ind., Mollie B. Sirvent of Milford, Mass., and Robert W. Lyons of Columbus; and they have 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Because of poor health, the couple will spend a quiet time at home. Cards and letters would be appreciated. They may be sent to 1410 Argillite Road, Flatwoods, Ky. 41139.
