Miller

Ralph Emerson Miller and Donna Carole Ramey were married in a formal wedding ceremony Aug. 30, 1957, at Westwood Enterprise Baptist Church by the late Rev. Kelly McGraw.

Donna, the daughter of the late Renny and Nell Ramey of Ashland, is a graduate of Holy Family High School and earned a bachelor of arts, a master of arts, and rank I from Morehead State University. She is a retired teacher from Russell Independent Schools and Holy Family School.

Ralph, the son of the late Robert “Bert” and Johna Miller of Willard, is a graduate of Hitchins High School and earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Kentucky. He is a retired employee of Computer Science and Services of Ashland Inc.

Their son, Col. Ralph F. Miller, and his wife, Cindy, live in Stafford, Va., with their two sons, Robert (Bert) and Clay. Ralph and Donna are active members of Central Christian Church in Ironton.

The couple celebrated this golden anniversary aboard the Grand Princess Aug. 30 in the British Isles.

In honor of this occasion, they invited relatives, friends, colleagues and former students to an open house at their home, 610 Amanda Furnace Drive, Bellefonte, on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 2 to 6 p.m. hosted by their son and daughter-in-law. Omission of gifts is requested.
