The Rev. John P. Weaver and his wife, Johnie of Ashland, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 22.
Rev. Weaver has been an ordained Baptist minister for 57 years and served three years in World War II. He and Johnie have served numerous churches in Ashland and eastern Kentucky.
They came to Ashland in 1966.
They have two children, a daughter, Judy Moore of Owingsville, Ky., and a son, John of Katy, Texas. They have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
