Baker

William J. and Delores Marie Baker of 715 Ernestine St., Ashland, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at their daughter’s home, Jan Conn, at 10767 Cedar Drive, Catlettsburg.

They were wed July 15, 1947, in Greenup by the Rev. W.H. Muncy.

Mr. Baker is the son of the late Anthony Bozie and Mollie Berry Baker. He is retired from Allied Chemical Corp. in Ironton, served 40 years in the Army and the Kentucky National Guard and retired as a major. He attends Worthington Nazarene Church.

Mrs. Baker is a daughter of the late William James and Stella Jackson Gamble.

She was a licensed practical nurse at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She is a member of Summit Homemakers Club and attends Worthington Nazarene Church.

They are the parents of Jo Ann Copley (Charles) and Jana Denise Conn (Michael), all of Catlettsburg, Judith Carol Preston (Jimmie) of Ashland and Keith Douglas Baker (Nancy) of Lexington.

They are the grandparents of Heather Rose, Joshua Preston and Julie Thornbury of Ashland, Lacey Conn of Catlettsburg, Ryan Copley of Amelia, Ohio, Logan Baker of Lexington and Stephanie Conn of Dayton, Ohio; and great-grandparents to Will Copley, Tucker Copley, Caleb Rose, and Reese Davis.
