Thompson

Ralph and Delores Thompson of Lucasville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 7. They were married in 1948 at the Lucasville E.U.B. Church parsonage by the late Rev. Frank Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson have resided in Scioto County (Morgan Township) during most of their 60 years together.

Mr. Thompson is the son of the late Harvey and Clarice (Riley) Thompson. He retired from Empire Detroit Steel Corp. in 1980. Mrs. Thompson, daughter of the late John and Tennessee (Harris) Johnson, retired from Northwest School District in 1996.

The Thompsons are parents of three sons, Larry (Patti) of Chillicothe, Ohio, Ed of Nashville, Tenn., and Andy of Waverly, Ohio, and they have two grandchildren, Rachael (Rick) Rodman of Cincinnati and Zachary of Columbus; and two great-grandchildren, Jack and Anna Rodman of Cincinnati. The Thompsons attend Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Lucasville.
