Chaffin
Wray and Brenda Cox Chaffin of Catlettsburg will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 14, 2008.
They were married on Aug. 14, 1958, in Jellico, Tenn., by the Rev. Carl Hunter of First Baptist Church in Jellico.
He is the son of the late Mitchell and Dolly Chaffin. He is retired from Calgon Carbon Corp.
She is the daughter of the late Ernest and Genevieve Cox.
They are both members of Oakland Avenue Baptist Church in Catlettsburg.
They are the parents of Kim (Donnie) Kiser, Tracie (Dave) Williams and Dr. Wray (Meredith) Chaffin II, and they have seven grandchildren.
A celebration of their anniversary will be at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church Family Life Center in Catlettsburg on Aug. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The couple request no gifts, only cards.
