— Robert F. “Bob” and Ruby M. Queen of Ashland celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2009.
They were married June 15, 1949, at the home of the Rev. P.O. Carpenter.
Mrs. Queen is the daughter of the late Charles M. and Minnie Catherine Keith Miles of Westwood. She was employed as a ward clerk at King’s Daughters Medical Center and at Condit Elementary School in Ashland.
Mr. Queen is the son of the late William Kerrick and Rosemond Rice Queen of Westwood. He is retired from AK Steel in Ashland and was the former pastor of the Westwood Church of God in Ashland.
They are the proud parents of two sons, Robert E. “Mark” Queen of Winchester and Wetzel M. Queen and his wife Denise, of Langley; and daughter, Kathy M. Fuller and her husband, Gene, of Catlettsburg. They have two grandchildren, Pastor Chris D. Keeton and his wife, Alison, of Ashland and Nikki Queen-Gilliam and her husband, David, of Langley, and three great-grandchildren, David C. Keeton, Mia Ryan Queen-Gilliam, and Daniel J. Keeton.
