Adkins

Richard and Betty Adkins of Flatwoods will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 25.

The couple were married on April 25, 1958, in Greenup.

He is the son of the late Earnest J. and Nanny Adkins. He served with the U.S. Navy for 17 years and 11 years with the Army National Guard. He was employed for 22 years with the railroad.

She is a housewife.

They are the parents of three children, Richard Adkins Jr. of Enoree, S.C., Leigh Ann Ashley of Flatwoods and Tim Adkins of Bellefonte and they have two grandchildren.
