Tickets go on sale Friday for X-Fest 2008, scheduled Sept. 6 at Harris Riverfront Park.
Headlining this year’s festival is Warner Brothers recording artist Avenged Sevenfold. This is the first time Avenged Sevenfold has played in the Tri-State, and X-Fest will be the performance that kicks off their North American Fall Tour.
Their self-titled CD features the singles “Afterlife” and “Almost Easy.” The group will release a live DVD Sept. 16.
Although the lineup might change before the event, also to be featured on the X-Fest 2008 main stage are Shadows Fall, Pop Evil, Egypt Central, Another Black Day and Midnight to Twelve.
On the Budweiser Loud and Local Stage will be X Factor 1 from Columbus; PI from Ironton; Bud Carroll and the Southern Souls of Huntington; Downtrend of Pikeville; and Stitch Rivet of Bloody Creek, Ky. This lineup also is subject to change.
Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Big Sandy Superstore Arena Box Office, and are $30 in advance and $45 the day of the show. Also, a limited number of Pit Passes will be available in advance for $45 at the arena box office, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Huntington or by calling (304) 696-4400.
Gates open at 1 p.m. the day of X-Fest.
The event is hosted by the radio station X1063.
