America has its own insurgents

America has it's own insurgents. Forces outside of our government are working through our politicians and judges to destroy our Constitution, bankrupt this nation and set up the One World Order. Like the EU, they’re planning the United States of Canada, America and Mexico with its own currency and are now building the super highway through Texas connecting all three nations.

Tragically, many of our politicians are working with them. Where are our statesmen? Every politician took the oath of office to defend this nation and uphold our Constitution.

If we own GM, who owns America? Our national debt is at least $11 trillion. America is being destroyed by borrowing from foreign powers, arbitrarily printing money and destroying small businesses, while taxing everyone through hidden taxes and stealing our freedoms that were bought with the blood of heroes.

One solution is to transfer the political power back to our state governments and return to our roots. We are blessed with our own oil, coal and natural resources. Let us use them wisely.

Based on what has happened elsewhere, socialized medicine will enable them to discriminate against the elderly, the infirm and handicapped or any class of people by withholding critical medical care.

Martin Luther King’s dream can be summed up in our motto: “United we stand; divided we fall!” We must stand united for the sake of the American Dream or lose it forever. We have one choice left to protect our liberty to speak, to worship, bare arms, pursuit of happiness and ownership and that is II Chronicles 7:14.

Conditionally, God promises to heal our land and forgive our sin provided His people will humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from our wicked ways. We must repent and pray for a great spiritual awakening in America.

New coal plant is not wanted

The East Kentucky Power Cooperative plans to raise our electricity rates to build a new coal-burning power plant. It claims that demand for electricity will increase in the coming years, that the new plant will create jobs, and that it will not add to our air pollution.

What EKPC won’t tell you is that two recent studies clearly demonstrate that these claims are misleading.

EKPC won’t tell you that investment in energy efficiency reduces the demand for electricity. Improving efficiency would also reduce our electric bills. So improving the efficiency of our homes and businesses would both reduce demand and our electric bills. EKPC wants to raise both.

EKPC won’t tell you that increased efficiency and investment in clean energy technologies will create more jobs in Kentucky than a new power plant.

EKPC is not telling us the truth about “clean coal” technology. It doesn’t exist. There are clean energy sources out there and EKPC should invest in these, not an energy source that is on its way out.

If we all tell EKPC we don’t want our rates raised to build a new power plant and that we want them to invest in energy efficiency and clean power technology, they will have to listen. Isn’t that what it means to be a cooperative?
