Words of Thanks — 07/19/08
The Huntington Area Food Bank thanks all the sponsors and participants of the 2nd Annual Charity Classic Golf Tournament on May 31. This golf tournament is the most profitable fundraiser ever implemented for the food bank, helping raise more than $21,000 to help fight hunger in the Tri-State.
A thank you is extended to the Marshall University Department of Surgery for hosting the event and Dr. Matt Simpson for his leadership. We also thank our major sponsors: St. Mary's Hospital, Guyan International, Redman Bingo, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Morrison, Dr. Touma and Better Trades.
HAFB is grateful for the opportunity to have worked with the Marshall Department of Surgery on such a wonderful fundraiser. On behalf of the 85,000 people served by the food bank each month, we thank all of our sponsors and fellow golfers who participated in making this a huge success again this year.
