Keep religion and politics separate
This is in response to “Christians need to take a stand,” the “In Your View” letter from Bill Short of Flatwoods published Friday.
Jesus Christ is not on the ballot. As for being able to be politically correct each time we speak, we would reduce most of us to having nothing worthwhile to say. If we can ask God to bless America, then there should be no reason why we should not be able to ask God for a “blessing out” when America errs.
Ministers above all others must teach their flocks to crucify unholy utterances that are contrary to the Christian message to love one another.
In summary, religion and politics must remain separate.

Clinton vows to defend gay rights
Hillary Clinton told Ellen DeGeneres that she will work to ensure that same-sex couples such as the talk show host and her partner, Portia de Rossi, are treated fairly.
Clinton has said she would defend gay rights as president and eliminate disparities for same-sex couples in federal law, including immigration and tax policies.
If this doesn’t change your mind, it probably won’t change.
